photo slideshows in V3?

Just a quick question regarding photo slideshow support in the next version...

Will it work as it does now (ie its a bit naff) or will it support things like the kens burns effect/panning-scanning etc?

Also will it allow you to view the photos on a differant monitor to the one xlobby runs on?

Before the Calrad takeover I was working on a plugin to do this, i just wondered if i needed to finish it off?

If you have moved over to .net 3/WPF it is actually very easy to produce a nice looking "animated" slideshows using only a few lines of code (i was very impressed compared to how much C++ code there would have been...)

To be honest, decent picture support should be built in mce/media-portal (2 & 3) all have "nice" looking picture screens.

yep, the rotation is very important, in my plugin i did it the way Steven sugested, it simply sets a "rotate" flag in the database, and then uses this when displaying images...

I know the save jpg code is a bit rubish.. so it doesnt downgrade the original image.

Sean,

Yes we plan to add all these effects and more, camera click sound effect options, etc.
