Help each other out

Slimserver/Squeezbox

Has anyone come up with a way to integrate the slimserver interface with Xlobby? I am currently using an M-Audio Audiophile USB soundcard but am very interested in trying out th Squeezebox2. However, I am not willing to give up Xlobbys interface, especially Baddabing's Heavymetal PPC implementation (thanks Badda!!).

So has anyone been able to get it to cleanly work?

Thanks,
Ed

*BUMP*
So no one on this forum is using the Squeezebox? This looks like a great way to play music files stored on the PC remotely.

I'm controlling Slimserver within Xlobby by opening a web-browser and starting the Slimserver web-based GUI. It's not very elegant, but it works.

Couchpotatoe has been working on a slimserver plugin for Xlobby. Check out this thread.... http://www.xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... sc&start=0

I've also tried controlling slimserver using it's command line API within Xlobby. I'm able to perform basic functions such as start, stop, and pause, but there's no way to tell slimserver which song to play.

Boo hoo.

Thanks for the feedback Steve! I am glad to hear others are working on it, I really hate to give up Xlobbys interface, from what I have seen it is MUCH better than what is available otherwise....but then again, I have just started playing with Slimserver.

Thanks again.
