Making buttons change size on the basis of database values.

I have been playing with EPGs and TV screens.

I have decided to try and make an EPG screen which does not use the rather inflexible EPG functionality built into Xlobby.

I have also been looking at trying to make volume, brightness, colour, contrast controls and wish to display the sttings as a slide bar. (Like a bar graph where the length of a coloured bar shows the setting of the particular parameter.

It seems to me that both of the above things could be acheived if there was a means of changing the sizes of buttons on a screen depending on the values set in a database. In this way the EPG could be made by having an array of buttons whose size and position is a function of start and end time of a show.

Similarly volume etc could be displayed by have (say) a red button which gets longer when the volume goes up etc.


Is this possible? (without writing a plugin )
