Most probably one of your MP3 files is corrupted or more probable, has an invalid tag... try examining database files to find out on which file it hangs....

dam.. maybe i would be an idea to ad some sort of ignore corrupt files option in the importer :)

i use the directory structure option when importing, does it still read the id3 tag?

I suppose it does...

When u start Xlobby, hit F2, and goto Basic tab. Under Music, specify the dir u import from, and hit IMPORT.

Then monitor the names of the files being imported... if it hangs on 1 file, that file should be displayed in the dialog....

I had the same problem when I started using XLobby, and now it works OK, on around 5000 MP3's, so I don;t believe the number of files/size of the database is the problem.

This would be allso appropriate time to make an feature request for a slight improvement of import - what about an optin to SKIP invalid files, and log them into import.log file in xlobby folder?

That would be useful.
