overlay screen and still use the buttons behind it

Is it possible to have an overlay screen and still use the buttons on the screen that's behind the overlay screen?

In some cases you would want this, in most cases you wouldnt. Can what your doing be accomplished with a show / hide?

I'll try to explain.
I would want to build a navigation with a standard screen wich shows all navigation.
A space in the window would then be used to show different overlays according to the button pressed in the standard screen. These buttons should be accessible while the overlay is visible to change to another overlay.
I could make it just with different screens wich look the same. It just seems more elegant to do all navigation from one screen. That way you can change navigation in one screen and you don't have to update these changes in all screens.

By the way, I'm still new on Xlobby, so don't shoot me. There might just be a very simple answer to this.

I suppose I dont fully get what youre doing.
You want a navigation on a page, aka a menu page.
you clik a button an overlay shows, on the menu (what is in the overlay?
is it a graphic or text or an actual menu of buttons ?)

You dont need multiple screens for your navigation.

I suppose youre basically doing flyout menus I assume? If you need immediate help, Im on Xlobby chat.

You don't have an evil reputation at all. So sorry if I gave you that impression.

Well these "subpages" can include menu's or webbrowsers or whatever.
But you never go to a mainpage, you select directly from the navigationbar to what page you want to go.

So either the navigationbar has to be an overlay or the subpages.

Ahh,
I would make the menu on all the pages. Create the menu buttons. Then check multipage in the skin editor, then click the pages under advanced tab of where you want the menu buttons to appear. You only have to create the menu once, it will self duplicate for all the pages. I dont see a reason mess with overlays.
