Finally got internal media player working...

Postby Jay on Wed Dec 19, 2007 4:34 pm

1 small issh remains. There's a ghost above the navigation buttons. See red arrow on pic below. In this example, the small picture launches the movie when clicked- and it works - it's just that this doesn't look great. How do I lose the ghosts? If the buttons are text, the ghosts are inverted text. Oh, and I have some ripped DVDs whose buttons don't show up and I had to bring up VLC to see where they actually are.
Filter adjustment? I went into setup and tried to look at the PowerDVD DVD Navigator area but the Config button does nothing.
TIA

I can use the internal media player for my DVDs now from the thin client on a PC, but still can't get it to work from a PPC. I'm still playing around with it, but at least it now works. This was the main thing keeping me using the old version on my system :D

Of course I mean trigger the internal player on the xLobby server, controlled with the thin-client on another PC. I normally use a PPC for this which still won't trigger for some reason. I'm going to play around with this some this weekend before the family all gets here for the Christmas holiday.
Look under myXlobby/downloads don't know which fixed it, I'm on the most current one.

I never noticed them before lol. On my developement system, I kept getting a database error because of the xEvent plugin. No problem though on the production unit. very strange. haven't tried the production unit with the default skin though. That's when I would get the error. Have to play around.

I just allocated a machine for testing and used my last license to install the latest version. I just do the default skin.

There have been quite a few changes and additions. It's hard to know which files to overwrite and which to replace without manually recreating all the changes I've made on a screen-by-screen basis.

Of course, the changes are great but, yikes.

one thing i'm wondering on the internal player from thin-client on PC (not PPC), it's iffy unless I have Mimic on. Is this to be expected?
