musicdetails field

Hello,
Two small but anoying questions regarding the albumscreen:

How does the musicdetails field on the music page knows what it has to display? Is it the name? (musicdetails show info on a selcted item in field music) or is it hard coded in xlobby?

If I set the music field to show text only (no icons) it will, when I select an item in the field, show the sub items. Can I change this so it will not go into the sub item, but only change the musicdetails field?

Ok, it's now official, I'm stupid.
I know how to create a catagory (skin editor-> screen -> add category -> name:"musicdet" --> create custom category --> edit category --> slelect database in database field)
If I leave the display field in the original "musicdetails" field empty it still knows it has to display the details on the album selected in the music field (same database).
I can't figure out what makes a field dependant on an other field.
I would like to have 3 fields on a screen each showing more detail, maybe I will have to use overlay's?
