Remote came with my TV tuner card. Can I use it in xlobby?

Postby homepc on Sat Apr 28, 2007 3:48 am

I just bought a new tuner card. This one is a Hauppauge. It comes with free remote. I can use the remote in wintv2000. Is there any way I can also use the remote to navigate my xlobby screens?

thanks

Thanks dgemily, but how can I tell if my remote is using girder? I dont see any software that it uses, I just know that when I install the TV application, the remote also was loaded and it works. Is there a way I cn tell if it is using girder?

thanks

Its not using girder natively on its own ofcourse. U just need to check if it is usable with girder. Head to the girder plugins page and if u see plugin for your oncard IR receiver then it works. Also note that if your card is supported by other IR control architectures (like HIP, Lirc and so on...) odds are u can make it work with girder via bridging plugin, and hence with xlobby trough Xremote.

no, your remote is not using girder right now....
girder it's a software that is supporting a lot of remote using plugins:
here you can find a list of these plugins: http://www.girder.nl/downloads.php?mode ... ucCode=800

so if your remote/tv card can be supported by girder, you will be able to use it with xlobby.
