Help with Ripped movies

Help each other out

Postby mjensen2k on Fri Sep 17, 2004 5:25 am

I'm new to zoom, etc. Here's what I'm facing. I used DVDShrink to pull just the main movie to disk. It created a nice set of vobs and .ifo files as suggested here.

I associated the .IFO files with zoom, but when I try launch it, I actually get a web page up going to the zoom page telling me to get the Pro version. I should be able to use the normal version, so I'm unsure what is going on.

In both zoom and JRMC I can play the vob. But of course it's not the whole movie. I would guess my IFO is messed up, but if I open it back up in DVDShrink it seems to be happy with the files.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Mike

Mike,

In order for you to play dvd or .ifo files in Zoomplayer, you would need the professional version. It is worth the registration fee though.

AirPost - I did have the split option turned on but not the Logical Remapping. I just turned it on and re-ripped a movie there was no change, still didn't work

Airpost, thanks for the feedback. I was thinking IFO's were included. I appreciate the help.

I'll have to get the trial versions of this and Theatertek, etc. to evaluate.

Sorry about inadvertantly hijacking this thread

But I did figure out the problem I was having. The Microsoft DVD Navigator Filter does not support UNC paths correctly which is the problem I was having. I switched to the Intervideo navigator filter and it worked fine.
