Remote Control ID Codes

Hello,

Should a remote have the same ID code when you press a button?

I want to learn a button from an Integra DPS 7-3 player. I press the set button and then press the remote button. It learns the ID, but each time a do this a different ID is learned. Xlobby then does not pickup the button press, because the IDs do not match.

Am I doing something wrong?

I wasn't pressing the reomte button after pressing set.

I think the trouble I was having was with my IR keyboard

Other documentation re learning IR states press set then press learn and then press the remote button

If I did this the set ID would be the IR mouse movement on the way to the learn button

Hopes this clears the issue up for someone
