Image, Text Reflections & Image Effects

Well I was going to wait on posting this but when I saw working samples of what Steven has coded for the next release today I could'nt help myself. We now have reflections in xLobby with some very cool features and settings, sorry no screen shots to show.

I know Andy needs reflections really bad for his new IPhone skin. I also want to mention that without Sean Pittaways hardwork and free plugin for generating reflections in the past most of us would have had to wait until now to do any of this in xLobby, so thanks Sean, see this post for his xDatabase plugin for xLobby.

I will be posting more on this subject this week and hopefully some screenshots.

while here,

the only thing missing for me now is some simple media library functions

auto set last played, date added, user ratings (stars) fields etc? (i have a plugin to do this...)

like i said (a while ago) they are very easy to add and open up lots of pssoiblities for you - filters for favourites/last played etc.

you can also have "smart" playlists, - favour higher rating tracks, favour unplayed tracks etc (as usual i have a plugin to do this )

graphs of play stats etc.

i am sure you can think of lots of things that look nice, that use the info generated (and wont need a lot of work )


Also most of this can be database independent, implement it once properly and it works on music/movies/tv recordings/pictures ...

Yes the reflections are excellent - so much so - that I added reflections to almost everything until my skin was unreadable

Okay much better now. I think the key here - like so many other areas in life - is "moderation".
