How do I make TheaterTek autoplay when I press play on Xlob?

Postby ellisbailey on Mon Dec 12, 2005 1:09 pm

I am uaing theatertek as my default dvd player.

The trouble is when I click play on xlobby, I then have to click play again when theatertek boots up with the splash screen.

Is there any way I can get rid of the splash screen and have it auto play?

Cheers.

Hmm....! Kinda weird that TT comes up but does not play. Integration with TT has been funky for a long time with Xlobby. Go into setup (F2) and in the the "FIle Types" section make sue that none of the DVD players like zplayer.exe are checked "enabled", do not put in an entry for TT here it's not needed and does not seem to work. Then in normal windows make sure that .ifo files and .vob files are associated with TT2, I assume you know how to do this so I won't tell you here.

That's it, when you click Play in Xlobby it should now launch TT and start the movie based on the info in the IFO file.

I'm able to use TT 2.x through the "File Types". Xlobby comes with default theatertek settings (for 1.5 I believe). You need to modify it and "enable" the checkbox. Here are my settings

Program:
C:\Program Files\TheaterTek\TheaterTek DVD 2.0\TheaterTek DVD.exe

Extensions:
ifo,iso,img,video_ts,tp

Command Line Switches:
/AP 2 /nosplash %playlist%

I added the tp to extensions b/c I use TT to playback myHD recordings. /AP AutoPlay (0-off, 1-On Insert, 2-On Startup, 3-Both). One of the main reasons for TT not working 'out of the box' in xlobby is Andrew changes the command line options on different versions/patches....ie once it was /path then /pl now nothing! :-) If you aren't using the very latest TT (2.2.1.12) then try /pl before %playlist%. Latest patch doesn't need /pl.

Atlas, thanks for providing this great information. It is very frustrating when you update to the latest TT and then find the parameters to launch a file have changed in the new version.

I am now running the latest and just removed the /pl parameter to fix my issue with TT not starting.
