Help each other out

using the internal media player

Postby homepc on Fri May 04, 2007 1:12 pm

I currently use a remote to navagate through the screens and this works great. But when I select a movie to watch, the internal media player screen comes up and plays the movie. When the movie gets to the movie menu screen, I cant control the options on the movie screen such as play, scene selections, things like that. I have to turn to my mouse to select these things. Is there a way to have my remote also control these options?

Thanks

Ray,

We have added support for IR remotes that are typically used in HTPC applications. We are currently working on a list of supported remotes. The snapstream firefly and firefly mini work and most remotes that use the x10 format. What remote are you using so we can add it to our list.

Wes, I'm just using the remote that came free with my Hauppauge WinTV tuner card. It works just fine for all the xlobby screens, but it just doesn't recognize the media player movie screen, so that I can select 'play' on the movie screen.

thanks
