xlobby splash screen, but nothing else happens

xlobby splash screen, but nothing else happens

Sorry for posting this here, but i tried everything that has been described in previous threads an it didn't help.
.net and .net SDK are installed, but i'm still hung up on the splash screen, please help...

what part of the splash screen are you hung? Loading database or ???
Can you hit f2 in the splash screen and get to the setup menu?

it's at the please wait... message.
the screen splashes with this message on and stays like this.
if i hit a key nothing happens... (F keys don't work either)

I have this prob when my internet connection is down or using a proxy and XL is set to autoload webcamera and RSS

make a backup of your xlobby.xml and then delete the original.try to load XL and see if it helps.
if not try to remove all plugins

i get this with the weather plugin, when no inet connection, it just hangs there
