WMP Playlists

Postby joeblow on Fri Dec 29, 2006 12:27 am

I want to use this solely with a touchscreen. I know some already do this but I wonder what they use to play videos. Zoomplayer is nice but I don't like the button size. I like WMP and the fact that you can tap the screen to make fullsize or not. My problem is adding to WMP playlists. Sometimes I want to queue up several videos. Is there a way to add a video to a playlist in WMP11.

Even if I could put a switch in the .avi and .mpg option so it only adds to the "Now Playing" list and I have to press play, that'd be fine.

Also, I have many videos in .rm format. I use Real Alternate to play them in WMP. They are not discovered by the import process though so they don't show up in XLobby. Any ideas on that would also be nice. Thanks much.

Take care

K, so I think I may switch to VLC player. It seems to be more command line oriented. It does use standard playlist files. I will probably try to use this for mp3 playing also. They have good skins for touchscreens.

I cannot figure out how to put a command line switch at the end of a file to add it to the playlist though. Adding -f does work to put it in fullscreen mode.

If anybody could help with this, I'd be greatly appreciative.

One other question. For some reason if I don't have "%parameter%" in the "Command Line Switches" field, it simply opens the player (whether it's WMP or VLC). Any ideas on that?
