Another weird issue...

I swear that my Xlobby install is slowing decaying! I am not sure what is happening here....anyway this morning I went to put on some music (which has ALWAYS worked perfectly) and I started a Pink Floyd CD......noticed that it stopped playing after the first song.....so I hit play and it played th next song....then stopped again.....hit play.......played next song........WTF??

The only thing out of the ordinary was that when I started the CD, I got a message from ffdshow that I had never seen before.....I should know better that to just click OK but I did.....

Going to remove ffdshow and re-install and see if that message comes up again........just wanted to put on some music this morning!!!!!

Got it fixed but I had to do a full restore from backup in order to get it fixed.....still not sure what happened....

To test it, I loaded V. 2.0.7353.3 again and it quit playing music again......so I did another restore (back to V. 2.0.7334.4) and it plays fine.

Something inside that newer version screws up my music.......any ideas out there?

I do see the music issue (next one shows as playing, but doesn't actually start playing automatically. I do NOT see the movie issue. I can play movie after movie, no problem.

So you are having the same issue with the music? Are you on 2.7353.3 as well?

well, can't speak for the going crazy , but I tested it, on the latest build 2.7353.3 and yes, the 'now playing' will change, but the song doesn't automatically start playing. you have to go to the controls and click PLAY

Any idea about a fix? I didn't really have time to work on it today like I wanted to......I'll let you know if I come up with anything.....

I had an idea just as I hit SUBMIT on that last reply......

I am using the default settings for movie file types (I think) and it is using zoomplayer.....well I tried closing XL and opening zoomplayer to play a move and when I did, it popped up to the Zoomplayer homepage wanting me to purchase it.....I am wondering if that has something to do with it because it never did that before.

Did they get rid of the free version of Zoomplayer and that is what is causing XL to quit playing?

Don't think that is related to the songs not playing but I would like to be able to put ONE of these problems to bed!!

Still no luck.....removed Zoomplayer altogether and it still only plays ONE movie and then I have to exit out to get it to play another movie......
