Category rendered variable and custom file name for cat-pics

cat pics on title means category craphics, nothing kinky, just short on space.

but could be also helpful in many other contexts. so what i would like is variable "rendered", which would point to category item which is being rendered as we speak. And with help of that variable u could load for example category top layer something like : %rendered>starpic% if cat-pics would allow u enter custom filename.
