Anyone using the XL from Nov. 24th?

Postby scottw on Tue Dec 05, 2006 1:52 pm

I just looked at the downloads page and saw that there is a copy dated Novenmber 24th. I am still using a copy with a build date of Aug 24th because it seems to be so stable.

Anyone running the copy from the 24th and having any problems???

Thanks,
Scott

so far so good for me and I'm on the Nov. 24th. Granted, I don't use mine to anywhere near the extent most people here do. I'm still experimenting :)

Thanks, I just installed it on my test machine, and backed up the old one :D

I do like the that you can now run an event from an event which I needed very badly as you can see in this post:

Let me know if anyone else has seen any problems with it. I know some people were holding off going any further that the Aug 26th copy because of pretty major bugs, hopefully they are sorted out in this one :D

I have experienced only 1 crash over the past few weeks of use. Not sure what caused it as I was not using it and the crash occured overnight.

Otherwise, all good.

I've had a few crashes, but then I ended up taking out a bunch of plugins that I don't use. It would run smooth all day, then in the evening, the system will just reboot for no apparent reason. I don't think it has anything to do with xlobby though, but some bug in the system....great... :x ...nothing like trying to debug an intermitten problem.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Hopefully it stays stable for me, I love some of the new features.

Marbles,
Sorry to hear about the crashes. Check the Event Viewer sometimes it actually does give you some good info on crashes, if you know around when it crashes you may be able to narrow it down.

Funny to mention the restart. I unpluged a USB drive I use for video while XL was running and the computer rebooted. I am not sure why.
