Button selected, show and hide

Is it possible to do the same thing that you made for specific music buttons: "playtrack"/ "addtrack" and "m3uadd"/"m3uplay"…
What I would like is to have the possibility to indicate the selected button like the button play and add on the screen music.
So, to have the possibility to reference buttons that you want, using show and hide method and then when we click on one of them, it will still inserted down and when we click on an other one of them, the first button will return to normal (up) status.

i'm interested : when i'm filtering, i could know the last sort of filtering has been chosen.
I command myTheatre and progDVB by clicking on icons : chains are grouped by provider (by example) a button for each provider : on click, i can see all the icons in category zone : so i can choose a chain by clicking on a logo : but i would see what provider has been chosen ! the the button were hilighted (as a button-down) it would be great !
