Set-up window cropped, help please.

Hey guys, first post although I've been reading and learning for a while. First off, xlobby is awesome. But I have run into a problem. I was helping my friend set up his new laptop last night, a dell xps gen2. I installed xlobby onto his machine, ripped a couple of dvd's, a couple of CD's, used dvd profiler to make an xml database. On my machine, I tend to get somewhat impatient, so I like to add my new movie in dvd profiler, export the database, then add it into xlobby's database while the movie is still ripping (using dvd shrink). When I do this, I go to Import under Database, import to DB Movies, and everything works well. If the movie hasn't finished yet, I go to the Database tab, edit the Movies database, find the movie and manually point xlobby to the right file location and uncheck the "offline event" box. Works great.

On my friend's computer, the Setup window is cropped, so I can't see the cover art for the DVD when I edit the Movies database. As the "offline event" box is to the right of where the window is cropped, I don't have access to that either. His laptop is native 1600x1200 resolution, and I am using the default simplicity skin, auto resolution. I tried changing the skin resolution from auto to a few diff resolutions, like 1024x768, 1280x720, no change. I changed his laptop resolution to a few different resolutions, started xlobby again and the window is still cropped. I would like to get him access to all of the options in the Set-up window, so I would really like to fix this for him. If we wait for the movie to finish ripping, then Import under the Basic tab, then everything works fine, but I would still like to be able to see the cover art and the rest of the options on the Setup Window.

On my computer, I am using the same version, not the absolute latest, but only maybe 2 or 3 weeks old. It works perfect both on my monitor (1024x768) and my projector (1280x720). Any ideas on how I might be able to get the full window rather than just the truncated version? BTW, using the mouse to drag the window larger (I hope I explained that well enough, mousing over the edge of the window until you get the double arrow, then clicking and pulling the side of the window out) does not work, the window gets larger but the cropping remains.

Anyway, thanks in advance. Again, awesome program.

These problems normally happen becouse the computer has non standard DPI settings. (fonts).

In the box where you would adjust the resolution slider , click the advanced button and under general make sure its set to 96 (normal).

Hope this helps.

Later
Simon.
