restart XL with a button

Postby scottw on Wed Jan 02, 2008 1:43 am

OK I feel stupid that I cannot find this. I want to restart XL with a button. I see an event to reboot the computer but not just XL.

Am I missing something???

Haven't tried, but maybe set up an event with a command to execute a .bat file that kill the current xlobby open, then starts a new xlobby.exe. Once complete "exit" the command prompt that is left open.

Just a thought.

Thanks!!!
Yeah I thought of that but what I was afraid of was if I kill XL it would not kill the winamp's but as I am typing this I figured I could just kill them as well.

I will give it a try.

i believe, if you just make an event to launch XL, it will kill the running copy and then open again.

Ok cool...thanks alot. Just as an FYI, the batch did not work when it got to launching XL it just crashed XL instantly. I seem to remember that problem before.

I will try it out, thanks again!!!
