trouble trying to setup xremote

Postby Natemere on Thu Jan 05, 2006 12:32 am

I just received my usb-uirt and was ready to follow the instructions of the le plugin xremote instructions but I can't get past the first step. When I put the xremote.dll into the plugin file and then start up xlobby it runs through all the files like it is loading and then when everything loads up xlobby just disappears and does not come online. What am i doing wrong? Was there something else I should have done first? I am pretty sureI have the latest version of xlobby. I am using Heavy Metal skin but had the same issue with the default.

be sure... there is anything to do before put le dll in the plugin directory...

the last version of xlobby2 is 1.0.2119.1889
it is available there: http://www.xlobby.com/xlobby2.zip
update all files, not only the exe

Right click on the xlobby2.exe select [Properties], then select the [Version] tab

The most important is also to use the pluginsdk.dll found in http://www.xlobby.com/xlobby2.zip and not only xlobby2.exe

ok i will check the version and also check for the plugin when I get home tonight. Can anyone explain why/if these issues would keep xlobby from starting up as described before?
Thanks!

pluginsdk.dll gives access to xlobby methods if you use an old version, the new methods required by the plugin don't exist and xlobby crash

Thanks guys! Somehow I didn't have the correct version. Strange as I have only been using it for like 2 months. I basically only had to replace the couple of parts into my older version and I didn't have to start over.
