Thanks a lot guys! That worked great! I am using dll version 1.2.1824.37725 and there didn't seem to be anything broken anywhere else for me after updating. Thanks again. Happy New Year!

Glad it worked out for you.

Patrick's version seems like it is a little more general, but he didn't post the dll for it.

My version will only work for that one case.

It's exactly what I needed and I think quite handy as three letter abbreviations for days are very common. Thanks again.

Hello bradsjm,

I would like to know if it was possible to traduct the informations in french.
For exemple: sunset=levé de soleil

How can I translate it?

Thanks for help.

Does anybody know if it possible to get the weather text description in metric? I know I can get the actual temperature values in metric but the text always refers to F rather than C. See example below...

In the XoapWeather plugin folder there is a forecasts.xml. Within this file are the definitions of what locations you want weather for. There's a field called <metric> just change it to true.

I already have this set to metric. It is the description I would like in metric, as you can see above, the temperature values are in C but the text talks about F.

Ooooooooooh... erm, can you get the weather channel web page to give it to you in metric?

I played with the web page and it looks like descriptions are *only* in imperial measurements. Since this plugin doesn't translate/do the math then it looks like you're out of luck.

Sorry

Ok it's confirmed. Just finished playing with the Xoap interface to Weather.com (by hand) and even when you specify metric units their multi-day forecast text is not metric.

Thanks for the help. Maybe I'll have to come up with some kind of conversion tool that will parse the text fields and convert degrees F to degrees C.

I've been spending the last 24 hours cleaning up the weather.xml document from the colby2 skin. I've got most of it done, only need to move some elements down so I can display the current day and night outlooks.

The problem that I am having is in the 5 day forcast. I get daytime forcasts for days 1 thru 4 (never 5) and nighttime forcasts for day 1 only.

This is wilt the configuration of 6 days.

Any ideas? the XML tags all look good (mostly copy pastes with a change to the day parameter.)

This is happening to me too, and it wasn't previously.

I think it may be a weather.com or plugin issue (or both?) due to somewhat recent changes by weather.com.

Don't know exactly when this happened tho.

Thanks for the reply, I will have to keep an eye out for when/if anyone looks into it. It is nice to know it is not just me.

I will post my cleaned up xml when I get done.

Sorry about the spelling mistakes in the - the eyes were kind of glossed over...

I've finished my cleaned up weather.xml document. Who do I send it to? It appears that the forum doesn't allow uploads.
