Slideshow on Thinclient

Is there a way to have the thin client refresh itself every few seconds when on the slide show screen? It would be a nice feature for a digital picture frame

You could probably use a timer event, or a plugin like xevent (i haven't used it so i'm not sure) to get the screens to change, beyond that as long as the thin client has the refresh:## in the servers.txt file set right you should be good to go.

But, how do you push the screen change on a client ?

Xevent, will need an event to accomplish that.

Per my observations:

When you are in "mimic", slideshow always occurs on the server side. There is no slideshow on the thin client

When you are NOT in "mimic", slideshow does occur on thin client but can only show the first picture. No further refresh is possible. I have not found a way around that yet.

It would be nice to have an event that can cause a screen change on the client.

You can try to put the refresh:xx in the servers.txt on the thin client. XX would be the time in milliseconds. We have refresh:5000 and it's awesome. The now playing screen even shows the correct "next" song, even in shuffle mode. I'd suggest making the refresh: command as long as your slide show delay is. This would probably be optimal settings. Hope you got something to work on this.

well I ment the mimic bug.
If mimic is on the slideshow is not shown on the thin client
I got it to work if mimic is off.
