RS232 Plugin

No worry or hurry. I have an external IR solution that is working quite nicely right now and would rather see an Xlobby solution than spend much time incorporating Girder.

ive got access to a Harmon Kardon AVR635 at work.

Also have you had any problems with yours? Here in australia it is a common problem for the Powersupply UNits in them to go faulty

Don't get me started... I used to have a 630. That died on me (kept powering off, never definitively diagnosed). Repair shop said they fixed it, only to have it do the same thing a week later. HK graciously replaced it with a 635. Within six months the volume encoder went on the fritz. HK replaced that with a refurb 635 that, so far, has held up fine. During this same time, my Dad's HK 3475 stereo receiver fritzed out twice. HK = great customer service, not so great quality control. Great sounding units though...

Perhaps this is old news to you programmers out there, but apparently .Net 2.0 includes the ability to control RS232 directly through the SerialPort class. I randomly stumbled upon a page (found here) that goes into the possibilities in great detail. I am no programmer, and so can't really implement this information, but I thought it might be useful to anyone with VB skills in need of an RS232 plugin...
