Global Overlay from catagory

This is probably for you skinning guys. I would like to open a global overlay when I click a movie cover. Currently I use the default skin and the info screen is overlay:movieviewer. How can I make that global?

dont use the word overlay: in the info screen. Open your overlay by adding an event (open global overlay) to the category instead. That should work.

May I steal this thread and ask the difference between global and plain overlay.

Thanks for the response Colby, I knew it had to be easy but I haven't worked much with the catagory stuff...

Global overlay will open the overlay on both the client and the server machine. The normal overlay will only open locally.

I know I asked this a LONG time ago but that didn't quite work. When I click the movie cover I don't get any overlay on the server (it starts the movie right up) and on my client it opens a ppc screen (I'm running it on a tablet).

I'll try it again tonight but ther might be some sort of problem when doing this event on a catagory.
