There shouldn't be a reason for it not to work, as I'm going to assume that this will be just loading a .pls file into whatever instance of winamp that has control at that time.

All that is happening is when you select a station the plugin loads the pls href into a hidden category and executes it - so nothing really different from having the pls files all in one big category. I decided to go down the variable route for listing as it's more flexable to skin with as you can see. Unless Steven provides a way of skinning individual parts of a compound category line (P3rvB3ear you gonna take this up!!!!).

Did it quite a while ago... its called "collage cats"... it works from users point of view so that u actually create a fake screen presenting a category-line, then xPerT takes care that this category-line-template is used to present each item in cat... thats what i used to combine weather icon with temperature on my weather maps demonstrating "mapcat" feature (but works in real xl cats as well)... its just i never made "collage cat" public cause it still needs a bit polishing... it was hassle with .bmp bug at the time and it kind of stayed unfinished.

good thing is with "collage cat" u should be able to present databases kept by other plugins without too much problems... so as long u keep things databased, skinners should be able to combine our plugins to meet their preference without incompability probs...

EDIT: lets see if i can find some time to finish the feature... its just lately collage is getting old... bear now more into Highschool cats

That would be an awesome feature, how does the selection work? Is it still on the parent cat line? Or does that move into the "college" cat? If you have different colours in the category line, would make for interesting colour clashes on selection.

Oh its nice, but its not that awesome afterall, like most nice looking packages its just fake. U still have to select whole cat item, u cant just select pieces u like...

... butt ...

...if u want to disect a cat item, then u better accomplish same effect with "catshift" feature, more power, but also more labour, for skinner.

EDIT: i think i misunderstanded u a little first (checked out wrong cat in u pic)... got it now though... feature u were looking is more like what i call "cat-in-cat" sadly thats not implemented yet, but something ive been thinking for now and then. its not totally trivial, but certainly doable, including selection of inner cat.

Mini update, almost there with the first beta (had to do some work - and got lost in the Groove Salad shoutcast stream ). Wannna release a mini 1 screen fully functional skin (XPro based of course) that shows how it all fits together, which is almost done.

Tomorrow I hope!!!
