Remote works great, except on playlist page

Hi all. I am using XL with the MCEv2 remote and Girder4 and the XRemote plugin.

After lots of tweaking, it all works great except the remote seems to lose focus in one situation. I use a slightly modified default skin and when I go to MUSIC>SHOW>PLAYLIST the remote never gets focus on the playlist screen. However, if I use the mouse to go select (or highlight) a button on the playlist screen, the remote will work from there.

My thought is that there must be a setting in the playlist screen (in the skin) that is not set up right to gain focus... Any ideas?

Im not familiar with that skin youre using. But, I read b4 if an overlay isnt an abc overlay it wont get remote focus. This may apply, you may check and see.

BTW I used to live in CO. Englewood. I miss concerts at RedRocks.

Do you have DEFAULT button defined on the overlay? I've seen some focus issues with overlays (search the forums, seems like there is a Xlobby set focus command somewhere). But make sure a default button is defined (just one). I use a fair number of non-abc overlays and don't have any real issues with focus.

Cha-ching! Thanks for both replies... tswhite70 was right, that in order for a remote to gain focus a button has to be a default. No default set equals no remote control. Easy fix thank you so much!

Colby... love the Red Rocks shows too... at least one a year. Saw Ween/Flaming Lips this year - was awesome!
