TheaterTek and 2 part movies (combined with DVDFab or DVDShr

Postby cmhardwick on Mon Jun 18, 2007 5:21 pm

I've got several "flipper" and 2 disk movies that after I combine them using DVDFab or DVDShrink, TheaterTek exits after the first title instead of continuing with the 2nd title. All other programs (Media Player, Zoom Player, Media Center, WinDVD, etc) contiue on just fine. I've got the "multiple disks" checked and it doesn't make a difference. Has anyone else run into this or anyone have a fix? I like theatertek (especiall with SPittaway's plugin to copy the coverart) and would like to continue using it.

Thanks!

I just start up the next movie in xlobby. :) Since xlobby sets up sub entrees in the database all you have to do is click on the second movie. What does that plugin do with coverarts and theathertek?

the movie isn't in 2 parts, it's in one part after running through DVDFab. but it still has 2 titles. DVDFab creates a new IFO file for the 2 titles, and other players work properly. This USED to work properly in an older version of TT, but in 2.5 (and 2.4 possibly, going by their forum) it was broken.

As for the plugin, it takes the coverart parameter, copies/converts/renames the covert art from jpg to bmp and puts it in the theatertek directory so when you start theatertek, you see the coverart for the movie for a little while before it starts playing.

Ok, found the problem since i had some that worked in TT and some that didn't. I got an IFO editor and started comparing the entries. there was one "pre" command missing from the title2 of the non-working movies (TT exited after attempting to start the second title). I added this command and they work great now.
I don't know why the command is missing, but it's easy enough to copy from the title one IFO.

I'll rip another flipper in a few days and see if the IFO does it again.
