Help...I finally got enough movies that I wanted to setup different master folders for each section v. having all the movies in one folder...I went from:

c:\movies\TITLE1\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
c:\movies\TITLE2\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
c:\movies\TITLE3\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
...
c:\movies\TITLEX\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo

to:
c:\movies\GENRE1\TITLE1\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
c:\movies\GENRE1\TITLE2\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
c:\movies\GENRE1\TITLE3\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
...
c:\movies\GENRE1\TITLEX\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo

c:\movies\GENRE2\TITLE1\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
c:\movies\GENRE2\TITLE2\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
c:\movies\GENRE2\TITLE3\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
...
c:\movies\GENRE2\TITLEX\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo
...
c:\movies\GENREX\TITLEX\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.ifo

I now have 2 problems I need help with:
When I made the change, deleted and recreated the movie database, imported...all the DVD profiler data disappered (e.g. overview, run time etc)
How do I navigate back "up" into the main Genre screen, I select a genre, can select any movie in that Genre, but I don't know how to tell Xlobby to go back up to the top screen with all the Genre folders if I decide I want to pick a different genre.

HELP!

Which import mask did you use to import this structure ?
My DIVX movies are organized in the same way like yours but when I import multipart divx's they appear in the root of the movie structure and not in the folder where they belong.

I don't understand your question. When you say the directory structure is identical to mine, are you refering to the flat structure, or the new genre sorted structure?

Regarding meta mask, I've never changed that, it is still the default...what should it be to make this work?

My directory structure for movies is:

d:\movies\GENRE1\TITLE1\filmcd1.avi
d:\movies\GENRE1\TITLE1\filmcd2.avi
d:\movies\GENRE1\TITLE2\filmcd1.avi
d:\movies\GENRE1\TITLE2\filmcd2.avi
..
..
..
d:\movies\GENREx\TITLEX\filmcd1.avi
d:\movies\GENREx\TITLEY\filmcd2.avi

In my movies I have mixed DVD's and DIVX avi's.
When I show the category in category view at the top level genres are listed as directories.
When I import movies the DVD's are imported OK but all the multipart DIVX movies (those that are ripped on 2 cd's) are not imported in the same directory genre as they should, and they are listed in the root of the tree e.g. in category view (at the top level) I get:
action
adventure
horror
comedy
thriller
...

and all the multipart DIVX movies.
So I at first I thought that you have made some changes to the movies import template but now I figured that this works with ripped dvd's without any problem.
So where can I find simple documentation about import masks ?
