updating please wait

when xlobby starts, i have V3 even though in the about section is says 2.08306.11

the question is, when i start xlobby, it says 'Loading, please wait'
it takes about 1.5 minutes and the cpu utilization goes to 100% and everything freezes up.

after the update, everything runs fine. What is happening during the update?
what is actually being updated?

yea, figured as much, i was thinking plugin updates.
no big deal, i just like to know what is going on in the background.

I also noticed that weather updates seem slower in v3. I would guess about half as fast.

The version 2.xxx displaying is a bug and was just fixed.

how did you fix that bug, with the version, did you reinstall a new exe, or is it a hotfix?

they are fixing the myxlobby page to link to all the latest versions.
i would say by tomorrow we will have the latest builds.

I hope Wes told you how to report v3 issues on the bug tracking site. It will lead to a better product.

I opened one for the slow weather updates already.

yea i'm aware of the bug tracking site, i just didn't post it there cause i was not sure it was a bug.
i thought it was something i was doing on my end, but wes told me it is on the list of fixes to be done on the next release.
