I installed the new build yesterday using ****keep and install option 4****. On XL startup, I got an error that ****setup:xlobby.exe**** could not run because msvcr70.dll was missing.
Got the big red X w/white background. Vista froze. On reboot, Vista reported Windows could not start. Tried once more, then chose the repair option which failed. Chose the restore point option. After that, the system came up but I still had the same error msg. However, XL ran after I OK'd the message. This happened several times. Once, I started my backup copy of the earlier version on a different drive and got that msg. Again, I could run XL after the msg, was OK'd.
I have not rebooted again but today, I get no 'msvcr70.dll missing' errors.
There is no msvcr70.dll in my system nor have I tried finding and grabbing this file from another Vista machine yet.
Before I try a reboot, does anyone have a clue? Both vers of XL appear to be working fine as servers.
