Won't start, but not locked up

I downloaded Xlobby for a HTPC I am building, and got it transferred to the machine. I started up the program, and it went to a black screen. I waited a while, then a while more, then I checked to see if it had frozen. Nope, it wasn't frozen. The program that was running was called "Splash", and it never moved beyond this. Anyone ever had any similar problems? I tried running it on both this PC and the HTPC, and it did the exact same thing both times.

Did you install the .NET framework? Xlobby won't work without it

In your skin directory is there a splash.xml? Also after start can you hit (f2) and bring up the setup menu? Is the skin you are using correctly installed not nested too deep in directories?
