Xlobby Newcomer Needs Help

Postby RTFM on Thu Jun 03, 2004 4:59 pm

Have just bought a HTPC and have Xlobby and DVD Profiler loaded and all was working fine for a few days but for no reason today Xlobby would not load and I got the message:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

It was suggested I remove the xlobby.dat file and try again which I did.
Xlobby loaded up but I couldn't play any music or movies.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Jeff

Sounds like the database has got corrupted, I'd start again with a clean Xlobby install and reinport the files.

As i understand the xlobby.dat file (now xlobby.xml) stores the setup perameters. If you delete it xlobby will recreate it on shutdown BUT because you deleted it the setup values will be gone. IE path to winamp etc.

Later
Simon.

xlobby.dat is gone now, get the latest version and upgrade to the latest exe here...it might be an experimental exe but its your best bet.

Thanks for your help guys.
Went into setup and everything was blank ( like me  ) so entered relevant info to various tabs like General, DVD, Audio and Databases and all is working fine again.
