girder send event string problem

Postby tsjdesign on Tue Jan 04, 2005 12:25 am

Perhaps I'm not using it correctly, but when I attempt to set up an event in the event manager using girder send event string, I get an activity flash from girder with the correct code shown at the bottom, but the code event striing does not activate the coorisponding girder event.

Is there a step I am missing?

Thanks! Todd

If it flashes in girder then xlobby is doing it correctly.

1 - Remember that xlobby activates an 'event' in girder - not a command.
2 - An example - Highlight a command in girder - click the drop down next to the 'learn event' button and change it from 'all' to 'girder event'. Click the 'learn event' button - a small window should pop up. Enter a name in the box. Push the select button. It is the name that you entered in the box that you must enter in xlobby.
3 - It is cap sensitive.

I'll bet that's it - I was just entering the ir code that shows up in the dot-matrix display, instead of creating a separate girder event eventstring. I'll try your instructions tonight - thanks in advance - this should remove a hugh roadblock for me!

 Worked for me, tahnks for that I've been struggling with this for ages. Now I've just got to do all of the interfacing for Dscaler and Theatretek to my existing gml.
