no thats not how it works, you have to create a child. Just say you have a rectangle and its called "rectangle round" as the display resource name. You will add a child to that resource and give it the name of your theme...like "sony blue"...now whenever you are using "default" it will use "rectangle round" but when your using the "sony blue" theme it will use the child of "rectangle round" that is called "sony blue". Hope you follow that.
