Adding a button now causes XL to crash

Postby edgley on Mon Nov 22, 2004 12:09 am

Hi,

I was just trying to add a few new buttons when I came across this problem.

I can add a button to a screen, but when I then select it to move it, XL exits, with no warnings or messages.

I am running the lastest exe, any ideas please?

I have re-installed from scratch, and just using the default screen, it still crashes.

This is not looking good :(

Edit.

Using the default screen I can move some buttons around without it crashing, but others cause it to go straight over.

OK, I just installed the latest exe, too and it crashes when moving a new button.

Mybe this should be in the BUG TRACKING forum?

In case anyone don't have a backup here is an Xlobby update from about two weeks ago (dated October 26, 2004) that works fine and should get you running again until Steve can fix the latest release.

Thanks for the help Badabing, unfortunately, that one hangs on Loading: Plugins.

I can use the latest build, but cant do much more editing for now.

Yes, it hangs on the old Weather plugin. If you are using the new XoapWeather it works fine - just delete the old xWeather plugin.

with the last exe, when you add a button, you must restart Xlobby before moving the button.

You can move the button by setting the x and y coordinates
But i'm hoping for a update soon.

try this guys,

http://www.xlobby.com/xlobby2.zip

remember the state of xlobby2.zip varies, its not always the most stable but usually it is. sometimes some new bugs slip through....if you see something major like xlobby crashing on moving a button report it to the bug forum.

Yep, that seems to have got it. thanks.

Sometimes Steve, its hard to know whether one has found a bug, or if something is just not working.
