Help each other out

Need Global Cache Specialist Needed.

I've been searching for a way to control my Stereo/Video equipment using a touch screen tablet. I originally started out with two choices - Netremote and XL. Even though Netremote works well with Global Cache (I think) I have decided to go with XL as there is a really helpful community here and there is room to expand in the future as far as Automation and the unbelieveable skins. However, I did some research and for right now the global cache seems to be what would work best in my situation. Needless to say their manual for lack of a better term "sucks". So far I have gotten to where I have changed the ip on the unit so I can configure it and that's about it. I picked up a unit off ebay for alot less than they are going for but no paperwork etc. I'm hoping to find someone who might have the codes for a Replaytv or might be willing to help in setting up my unit so I can at least test if it works. I am assuming it works as I can get to the config page. Once I find that out then I'll be able to move onto the next step which is getting it to work with XL. Any Help??? Anyone!!

Sounds like a part of my project. I wanted to make my home theater more user friendly by adding a touchscreen PC.
If this is all you want to accomplish you would be better of with USB-UIRT or one of the Ir devices that is supported as a plugin in XL.
Unless you can find (or develop) a plugin for Global CacheXL, you are better of with putting girder in between. If you can find a version 3.x it is actual free, where version 4 is not.

I decided to go with girder, as i had other requirements as well and my IR receiver and remote is not supported directly.

Thepainter, if you haven't already download Girder and the Global Cache plugin for Girder. You can then use Xlobby to control the Girder events.
