playing DVDs

Postby dogg0 on Sat Sep 18, 2004 8:55 pm

im trying to setup DVDs to play through xlobby, and I'm using zoomplayer pro. I have my dvds in the DB as offline events, but when I click continue after I insert the DVD, they dont play. Anyone have any info on setting up xlobby to use zoomplayer pro to play dvds?

What event do u have associated with the continue button.

I just use an OS execute command:

"C:\Program Files\Zoom Player\zplayer.exe"

With the following arguments:

"/DVD /PLAY"

Obviously without the "".

Hit pause/break. - window pops up

Click on the button (continue) - it will get a rectangle around it.

U will see one of the tabs has events on it. Click assign event.

To use the event manager hit F2. You have to create an event first then assign it to a button.

Use pause/break again and this time, click on the "Goto Screen" tab and look for the moviesoffline screen (not sure what skin you are using but it should say something like moviesoffline or offlinemovies, etc... Once selected, the screen should load and then you can do your usual load event thing.

Sorry to butt in again  , but you can place the execute file command basically anywhere you want but usually it would go under the Movies Group events.

Airpost is right, Put it where it makes sense to u.

The "groups" are just to keep it nice and tidy.

Just one question left, when i sort my movie database, the items that i meanually added will not sort with the items that imported from scanning a directory, they are both sorted, just one before the other, not sorted together. anyone know why?

You've stumped me on that one. - Did you do a resort (click the sort button) in the setup screen?
