The credit goes to Jovial_mood for this one. I was hoping he would make some kind of .exe option to run the utility with so we could refresh from within xl with some sort of .bat file solution...wouldn't that be sweet!!!

Hopefully, he will get around to supporting "sort title" as an output. I selected it from the list in setup, but it doesn't appear in the XML. So, all the movies that start with "The....."
are together. I might try sorting it in dvd profiler by sort title, and then renumbering the collection, as that seems to be the order it is exported in. I'll let you know how it goes....

Okay, for anyone interested in getting the sort order and display correct. Sort title doesn't seem to export from the utility, but collectionnumber does. Go into DVD Profiler and renumber your collection by title, and then export. The XML now has a sequence number assigned to each item by the proper sorted order. Then go into xlobby and edit movies_dxc and enter collectionnumber for the sort field and hit the SORT button. Tah dah - movies display in the same sort order as the DVD profiler explorer. This was my last pesky issue to resolve.

THANKS A MILLION TO SHARP_1 and JOVIAL MOOD

I'm back up and running with Xlobby. My kids have become dependent on the hard disk movie library because there hasn't been a teen-ager born who can put the freakin' DVD back in the case, and then back in the rack where it belongs! Now that I have a way to enter the hard disk location in DVD Profiler and have it propogate through to the file name in xlobby, I have unlimited capacity. I just have to add external drives as I need them. I've used up 1.5 terrabytes already. All the movies are on external fire wire connected disk arrays.
