I thought I'd resurrect this topic.... :)

Did anyone create anything like this for XLobby?

I'm not sure how meedio _could_ do anything in a plugin. I'd be interested in any pointers you about this. AFAIK, there aren't any hooks into Pandora. It's just an applet. I put Pandora into a screen, as a browser window.

I got the info from this link: http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2006/05/listen-to-pandora-in-winamp.html The only clever thing I had to do was make sure I changed the URL when I left the page so Pandora didn't keep playing. I am hoping to win wyfe points with this screen.

Thanx for info about winamp connection.

Dont know about medio but Xlobby could really use plugin which would provide XLobby style interface to pandora. Having that applet on your skin is not exactly pretty...

about "hooks"... every networked application comes with ready programming interface, u just need sniffer (and cryptoanalysis skills and CPU cycles) to figure it out ;)

It doesn't "sound" too difficult to do.....(does it?)

Here's a screenshot of the meedio plugin in action:
Meedio Screen

There is even another project which made pandora into it's very own application:
OpenPandora

I'm just hoping to get the creative juices flowing for everyone.

True Confessions--I'm not at a skill level to write a plugin.

I appreciate the links. I am going to check out the Pandora Open Source App. Where there's a will, there's a way. For my setup, Pandora increases the WAF. With that App you pointed to, there may be a work-around. Something like this:

a) Launch the App
b) XRemote to send keys to the App (might need Girder for this)
c) Close the App when leaving the screen

Maybe Step b 1/2) Show the App with MoveWindow (or is it XMoveWindow?)

My $0.02 I may play with some of these, but it isn't at the top of my XL list.

That open pandora looks very promising. Have to check it out thoroughly later today. Thanx for showing it to us.

I'm very sure it can be accomplished this way with the open pandora project. I would personally, prefer the functionality of a plugin, but this way would suffice.

I'm still gonna poke around and see what I can find.

No problem, I love to share! 8)

Ok been testing it a little and this open pandora is great, u could build a skin around it doing control trough buttons which abuse its global hotkeys, and so u could give up the mismatching applet... but building a dedicated plugin would still be so much better, u could for example get now playing data, and mayby even put your stations into cat. So ive been reading from net that there actually is Pandora API, so i might actually be interested to see what i could cook up... but i cant find the goddamn documentation of this api... Anybody has any idea where i should look?

Haven't got xmovewindow working yet but openpandora Keeps the same position anyway so it doesn't really matter.

The child class is "MACROMEDIAFLASHPLAYERACTIVEX" for sending keystrokes if you don't want to use "match forground task"
