Xlobby basic question!

Postby deborah on Mon Jun 21, 2004 9:24 am

Hi everyone!

I've heard that Xlobby is great and I downloaded it from the site. The problem is: when I try to run it, I get an application error.
As most of women I'm not an expert in PC! May somebody help me???

Thanks! Deb.

Thanks for your help.
I downloaded .Net frame work, but when I try to run Xlobby I get the following error:

"E:\WINDOWS\MICROSOFT.net\FRAMEWORK\V1.1.4322\MSCORWKS.DLL could not be loaded"

How can I fix it and start enjoying Xlobby???

Thanks! Deborah.

Do u have your OS installed on E:?

Check in the controlpanel add remove prg, to see if .NET really got installed.

Man... don't discount women!!! They rock! Check out the blog "kasia in a nutshell" ... she's even too technical for me!

Make sure you have .NET 1.1, and not 1.0 ... If in doubt, search for the .NET Runtime and get the latest version you can find... Uninstall any 1.0 runtime you may have as well.

deborah, try to install .net with the "Administrator" user...I quickly did a search and that was one of the solutions. There are probably more things to try but I have to leave for the day.

Another thing would be try loading xlobby under the Administrator user once .net is installed....then try other users.....of course I'm making the assumption you dont use the Administrator user.

Thanks guys!!!

Now Xlobby is working properly!!! WOW!!!
I downloaded the version 1.1 of .NET and ...of course I've installed it!
I just see the main page and I still don't know how to configure Xlobby... So get ready for my newbie questions that will follow very soon!!!

Thanks to all of you! You have been very kind to help me with such an easy (for you!) question!

Bye! Deborah
