Amen BROTHER!!!!
Bump!
we can always make our selector squares "donuts" if we dont want them to cover the art.

i have a stupid question, why would you want it "on top" you be able to see the cover art. Its very easy to do, I just see why you would want to do it.

I'm assuming tho if this was changed that it would effect selector shapes too instead of just images. I use shapes that go behind the coverart.. if it was changed to be on top, I couldn't use shapes anymore.. The best would be if it was an option to choose whether its on top or not.

Ontop I can make a selector that just fade the cover or a cool overlay like in the Colby example. The possibility of that would be creating many cool selectors

Looks cool, but I agree with Jowaldo - if implemented front/back should be a choice.

the way colby describes it makes perfect sense :) now I see the light, very original idea. This is something other interfaces will copy I think.

Oh yah we can use both the one behind, and the new one that is in front. So we now have four things we can set

Selected
Unselected
SlectedAbove
UnselectedAbove

try it out.
