RCTV skin

Postby smurgle on Sat Feb 26, 2005 1:29 am

I wanted to see if there is any interest in my RCTV skin for public consumption. If so, I'll post a download link when I've finished testing in a couple days.

The goals for the skin are:
- Easy remote control interface.
- Made for TV display. Neutral brightness, neutral saturation, nothing near the edges to combat overscan, relatively large and clean fonts, not too busy graphics.
- Made to look correct on 16:9 TVs.

You can see example screenshots here.

If anyone would be interested in using the skin, post a message to this thread thanks!

Edit :
Download 16x9 widescreen version here.
Download 4x3 version here.

Probably not what you're looking for but I just have the button launch sage over the top of xlobby. Then when I put sage into sleep mode, xlobby gets the focus back.

Nice looking skin! You should consider hosting in the Skins forum.

Reset Search

Postby kwhit on Sat Mar 05, 2005 4:37 pm

Smurgle,

Great, simple skin. One problem.

On the music search, the reset button doesn't clear the old search when you return to the main music screen. Am I missing something?

Hi Ken, glad you like it.

The reset button the music search resets your current search. For example, say you were searching song titles and pressed "A". Then in the list box it shows all song titles starting with A. If you press reset on that screen, the list box will then go back to the full list of song titles on the right, and the input field will be cleared.

To reset your previous search and see all your music again on the music browser page, you have to press the reset button on that page instead of on the search overlay.

Hope that makes sense. If I misunderstood what you were asking, let me know!
