I have my movies and music stored on a NAS although every time my password times out I have to exit XL and reinsert my password to view or listen to content.

Is there a way to avoid this? I am not even sure if I have to option to remove the password..

This is the NAS I am using:
PROMISE 4 BAY NAS - NS4300N

Look at pages, 96, 104 of the manual. Try leaving the password field blank. There manual is not real clear on these issues. Its difficult because I need the drive connected to my system to really see all the settings. You may have to contact them directly regarding windows folder\file sharing and user permission rights to gain access.

I believe there is always a password, it defaults to 'admin'.

I will reset the NAS to the defaults and try again.

Understand it's difficult to work though the setting not having the menus, I was really just asking if it was possible to save passwords within XL, thinking maybe you have come across this issues with another customer. If there is nothing we can do within XL, I will have to figure something out on the NAS end.

Thanks for looking into this for me Wes.
