xlobby at idle using 26% of my Q8400 cpu

Postby CaM on Fri May 07, 2010 11:08 am

Hi, when xlobby first starts it uses very little processing power - somewhere between 0 - 4 % of my Q8400 cpu.

After a while xlobby jumps to around 26-30 % of my Q8400 cpu.

Has anyone else spotted this issue?

thanks

CaM

p.s. I have already entered this in mantis (0000837)

Not seeing that....

Can you try to selectively turn things off (disable plugings, Xlobby processes, timers, etc) to try to find the culprit?

hi, I used to occasionaly get this issue with Xlobby 2 as well.

I will try and narrow it down; my guess is the issue is related to either sound or events.

thanks

I actually got that prob yesterdays and when I removed the music.xml all was ok. So I removed the cache directory and let xlobby rebuild it. Now it's back to normal

Hi, I will try deleting the xml / cache and see what happens.

Restarting xlobby has been my only fix so far.

thanks

hi, I removed the XReceive plugin and my cpu usage dropped down to normal levels (1-6%). :D

Everything seems fine now.

thanks
