Music: Automatic Track Advance at End of Track isn't Working

Postby samsonlov on Mon Oct 05, 2009 10:05 pm

Accidentally posted in "Support"

Anyone Else? (I already posted in Mantis, but wondering if anybody else saw it.)

Summary 0000677:
------------------------------
Music Player "auto track advance" is Broken (It still works if each track is played "manually".)
Description Music tracks do not advance to next track automatically at the end of a played track.

This happens with "play", "add to playlist", and "add then play", "and playlist play now" commands.

This happens no matter what screen or overlay the request to play is initiated from.

If a track is playing, the "track skip (ahead or back)" works properly, but after the "skipped-to" track reaches the end, the player stops.

All the ids and variables like "music>next", "audioplayer>next>%artist%", etc. display the expected info so it looks like XL knows that the next song is supposed to play, but at the end of a track, the player "just sits there".

I have tested this on two machines both with my "custom" skin, and with the "default" skin - on at a client's home, and also on my machine.

Performing a "partial-update" to build: 3.0.9269.5 resolves the issue.

BUG! -UGH!
:(

Steps To Reproduce:
-------------------------------
1. play an album with "play", "add to playlist" or "add then play"
2. wait for first song to reach the end.
3. watch XL screen for 10 munites to confirm that next track doesn't play.
4. from "controls", select "track advance"
5. next track will play.
6. wait for track to reach end.
7. watch XL screen for 10 minutes to confirm that next track doesn't play.
8. please fix.
