Does this mean that even if you use the internal player one can use the
start event
stop even
end event
like we have when we use external player?

If so, GREAT....

BB, great job on the trailer!

What program did you use to create it?
And aside from the DD trailer that you incorperated into yours, did you start with any stock video clips? if so, did you find them on a site similar to stock photos?

watch it again, i made some updates to the trailer. let me know what you think
i use adobe after effects with a ton of plugins.
Self taught.

my only stock footage was the dolby digital.
the bouncing lens flare, lighting effects, spinning and burning globe, text, sounds are all mine i made from scratch.

the best output is the MOV files, but i cannot get it to play in XL.
can you play the mov file in XL?

i can export the movie as avi, but it's over 100 megs, while the mov file is 12 megs, BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!!

hey Wes,
did you ever have any luck playing MOV files inside XL.
i'm thinking of moving to cyberlink dvd 9, they now play MOV files.

i ran a plugin that plays mov files inside windows media player, works great.
but inside XL, i still can't get the mov file to play.

any suggestions?

Bill,

I downloaded several WMP plug-ins to play .mov files and it prevented me from any playback in xLobby, windows media player worked fine. The reason xLobby has issues is because the .mov file format is subject to change by apple and the direct show player xLobby uses may play some files correctly while others will not. The WPF player we use in the video 6 menu should work on these files but this does not help you with playback of your file before a movie begins. Maybe the best solution is to convert the .mov file to a format that xLobby can play.
