xLobby "Media Extender"

Hi Wes-
How are you guys going to handle the idea of a "Media Extender" for xLobby? I know the SageTV team has come out with theirs, and Vudu has partnered with netstreams, and Hauppague has their HD PVR which can also record 1080i via component. The Hauppauge can be controlled as a head as some of their older products have been able to. The SageTV box provides the Sage interface from the server on a fanless box that can sit near and provide streaming of Music and Video. Is this something you can talk about in an open forum?

We have been testing several possible hardware solutions, but have not decided on a unit suitable for xLobby yet.

Wouldn't a the newest picoITX be an ideal candidate for becoming a xlobby client? There are ITX options that use C2D processors if more power is needed for an HD Version. With everything integrated it should be fairly easy to adapt. Installing the software would be the hardest part.

Any new thoughts on integration with VUDU or the Hauppauge DVR? . Thanks for the update.
